Greetings!

Hello!

Football season is over and racing season has begun.  This is one of my favorite times of year, the Daytona 500 and all that goes on during speed weeks.  While I look forward to it, it quickly goes.  As Solomon said there is a season for everything.  If we keep looking forward to the things ahead, we miss the joys in front of us now.  Don't let a blessing go by without enjoying it to the fullest.  Our seasons pass by quicker as we age.

As per tradition I will be having a Daytona 500 party.  Come to the house and cheer for your favorite driver.

The February edition of the Illinois Link now available, click on Illinois State Ministries website below to view.

Don't forget, Fresh Start is having a time of exercise on Tuesday's at 6.30 pm.  Come and be refreshed!

See you Sunday!

Monday Memo
WHAT DO YOU NOT WANT TO DO TODAY?

PROVERBS 10:4
Legendary football coach Tom Landry said, "The job of a football coach is to make men do what they don't want to do, in order to achieve what they've always wanted to be." It's also said that successful people become successful by doing the little things that average people don't want to do. In your work there are probably a few little things that you don't want to do: items that should be done, but don't have to be done -- at least not yet.  Though the items on my not-to-do list change from day-to-day, they all have one thing in common: none of them are impossible. They're all do-able with just a little bit of effort. They have another thing in common: by ignoring them, we short-change ourselves.  We don't like to call this type of delay by its proper name, but Solomon doesn't hesitate to: Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth. (Proverbs 10:4) For many of us, that's all that stands between us and the fulfillment of our goals. A little indolence. That's not a mountain in front of you. It's just a hill. A small, tedious, do-able hill. Challenge yourself and your team today to make a not-to-do list -- and tackle these items first, one-by-one. See what happens.

Poem
 BEST POEM IN THE WORLD

I was shocked, confused, bewildered
   As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp--
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.

'And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber - give me a clue.'
'Hush, child,' He said, 'they're all in shock.
No one thought they'd be seeing you.'

JUDGE NOT!!

Remember...Just going to church doesn't make you a
Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Every saint has a PAST...
Every sinner has a FUTURE!
