Greetings!
Hello!
How are you? Did you treat your mother to something special? Each one has different wants from their children. Some want to spend the day with the kids, no matter how old they are. Others it's time to themselves that is they gift they desire. All too many times we think we know what others want or need. I know I am guilty of that as anyone else. We fail to listen to others needs and desires. To be successful in any relationship we must listen more than we speak and respect others wishes (whether we understand them or not). It is that way with God as well. Listen to what God has for you, and follow His wishes. I can also tell you that you will not understand most of the times, but with hind sight, you will see the foresight of the Lord.
Have a great week!

Food Packing Event at Fresh Start
The NICE foundation did the food packing event and it was successful! The event is done through Kids Against Hunger. With financial support around $2000 they are able to pack over 7,200 meals. What an accomplishment. After being involved in 2 of these packing events, I decided that we at Fresh Start need to step up. We are going to host a packing event June 11 & 12 during Missions weekend. Imagine what could happen to world hunger if just half the churches stepped up! With over 450,000 churches in the United States that would be 1,800,000,000 meals, almost 2 trillion meals, what a dent in world hunger that would make. We all can do our own little part.
Schedule:
Friday 6.30 - 8.30
Saturday 9.30 - 11.30
12.30 - 2.30
Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors to share in this wonderful experience.

People Are Watching!
Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet.' When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change ..' The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town? 'Yes' he replied. 'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday..' When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'Or lives are the only Bible some people will ever read.
