Greetings!
Hello!
I have always said the month of May is a hectic time with 2 kids and a teacher wife. Getting ready for the summer, trying to do well on the last few tests to bring your grade up. Attending all the graduation parties, knowing you will not see most of the people around you every day for the summer. Our end of life is a lot like that. We know there is a big test / judgement at the end, and we try to so some things that will help us in the end. It doesn't work too well like that. It is about living the life for God, not testing well. We all fall down, get clumsy, but God is always there reaching for us. When it comes to the end, we won't see alot of the people in our daily lives again either. Don't worry about what they think. Live your life for God daily and pass all the quizzes in life. The big final test isn't so big then, just becomes second nature for you when living as a Christian.
Have a great week!
See you Sunday!

Food Packing Event at Fresh Start
Missions Weekend
We are going to host a packing event June 11 & 12 during Missions weekend. Imagine what could happen to world hunger if just half the churches stepped up! With over 450,000 churches in the United States that would be 1,800,000,000 meals, almost 2 trillion meals, what a dent in world hunger that would make. We all can do our own little part. Tell your friends to come and have fun together. It is good for the soul to do good for our world!
Schedule:
Friday 6.30 - 8.30
Saturday 9.30 - 11.30
12.30 - 2.30
Sunday Marcus Pearon, Missionary in Nicaragua, will be speaking.
Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors to share in this wonderful experience.

No Dress Rehersal
1 Corinthians 9.24
I was in a production of My Fair Lady in high school. My role was small; I think I was credited as the third cockney on the left. But didn't someone say somewhere that there are no small roles? Regardless, our school was entered in a state-wide drama competition. First prize included the chance to perform in a professional playhouse. The judges were scheduled to come to the Saturday night performance, but for some reason they showed up on Thursday, the night of our dress rehearsal. Shortly before the performance, our director explained the mixup to the cast and crew: "This is not just a run-through. Tonight counts. Give your best performance." This changed the atmosphere backstage. Getting everything right -- every line, every cue, every entrance and exit -- was now more important than ever. The judges were in the audience. This was no dress rehearsal. It was the real thing. You know what? The life you're living today is the real thing. Sometimes we live as if this is all a run-through, as if we'll have another shot at it someday.
This is it.
Life is now.
There is no dress rehearsal.
Today counts.
Run in such a way as to win the prize. (1 Corinthians 9:24) - Steve May
